Fortunately, I was able to get some relief from NFL benefits.​ Thankfully, the NFL provides some level of financial support to retired players.​ I was issued a disability check each month, which help pay for my ongoing medical bills.​ This was a godsend as I was able to go to physical therapy to help recover more quickly from my football-related injuries.​

Additionally, I joined a teammate in their new business venture, golfing holiday retreats.​ This gave me something of an income to help cover day-to-day expenses, and I also had the benefit of getting to be around another former NFL player who was still in-the-know about the business world around the sport.​

It wasn’t until I got involved in broadcasting that I started to make real money.​ I was able to parlay my experience in the NFL and my connections into a respectable salary as a sports commentator.​ If I had to assign a monetary value to my experience in the NFL, I’d say it’s been invaluable to this day.​

I have since managed to build a very successful career in broadcasting and even started my own business – a marketing agency for athletes.​ While I’m not rolling in money, I am comfortably in the black and have been able to provide for myself and my family.​

To me, it’s not about how much you make when you retire from the NFL, it’s about what you choose to do with your life afterwards.​ Being an NFL player was a once in a lifetime experience and it helped set the foundation for me to make something of my life post-football.​ For me, it’s not about the money, but the legacy.​

Hey friend, have you been keeping an eye on the NFL standings lately?! Football is pretty much my favorite sport, so I’ve been checking in on the scores every week! At the time of writing, there’s still a few weeks to go before we’ll know who makes it to the playoffs, so who knows what the standings will be looking like by the time that comes around.​

Anyways, the teams that have been leading the packs so far are the Kansas City Chiefs and the New Orleans Saints.​ They’re both extremely competitive and have put up some pretty impressive feats.​ It would be an amazing showdown to see them face each other in the playoffs, but who knows if that’ll happen.​

The Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks have also been trying to get into the top spots, and they’ve both put up some great games so far.​ The Seahawks have had some standout performances and the Packers have been doing that as well.​ It would be an interesting matchup between these two teams too.​

And let’s not forget about the other teams on the list.​ The Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and the Buffalo Bills have all had some amazing games so far.​ What makes things even more interesting is that the Rams and the 49ers are rivals in the same division, so it’ll be interesting to see how they’ll fare if they do face each other.​

Who do you think will make it to the top?! What team do you think has the best chance to make it to the playoffs?! Personally, I think the Chiefs have the best chances, but I could be proven wrong.​ It’ll be interesting to see what the future holds for all of these teams!

I am so thrilled to tell my friend all about Chris Clemons.​ He is an NFL star who plays defensive end for the Jacksonville Jaguars.​ I had heard about Chris before I followed him on the field, but his on-the-field performance blew me away.​ He had a myriad of tackles and sacks, but the thing he was most noted for doing was disrupting the opponents’ passing opportunities.​ He would weave through the opponents’ players and pressure them before the quarterback could even throw the ball.​ The sheer determination he showed on the field was awe-inspiring!

Every media outlet was talking about him and I wanted to learn more.​ I looked through countless magazines and articles about him.​ I quickly found out that Chris was born in Bonita Springs, Florida, played college football at Clemson, and then became the Jaguars’ fourth round pick back in 2009.​

In the NFL, his life has been an upward trajectory.​ He quickly became the leader of the defense, often mentoring younger players.​ He has never been shy on the field and continues to be the same determined and effective leader on the field as off.​

Given the myths and legends about Chris, I never expected him to be the same off the field.​ Nothing could be further from the truth – aside from being zealous on the field, Chris also continues to be an incredible role model for NFL fans, attending events and tryouts to mentor aspiring players.​ He also participates in many charitable activities, is a good father, and is a strong voice in the community.​

What impresses me the most about Chris is how resilient he has been.​ Despite having a few tight seasons with injuries, he continues to fight his way back onto the field and continue performing at the highest level.​ It also speaks to the quality of the team around him, in particular the incredible training staff and coaches.​

Recently, I’ve noticed a different side to Chris.​ He’s no longer just a NFL powerhouse and defensive star, but he has become a trendsetter off the field.​ He’s regularly appearing in fitness magazines and he even has his own line of apparel! I’m so proud to have a real NFL star from my home town and can’t wait to see how he continues to leave his unforgettable trademark on the NFL for years to come.​

Since Chris’ career is still on the rise, I can only imagine what he’ll do next.​ I’m looking forward to his next game-winning performance, or the next product launch, or even the next scholarship he gifts.​ It’s thrilling to know that even now, he’s changing the game and inspiring younger players just like himself.​

I’ve been debating the pros and cons of streaming NFL Sunday Ticket to an Apple TV recently and I feel like I need some advice.​ I’ve heard from a few friends and read online that streaming games on Apple TV is now possible, so it got me thinking about taking the plunge.​

My first reaction was that this isn’t the most wallet-friendly option available – and I can’t help but feel somewhat put off.​ On the other hand, I get access to the huge variety of shows and movies available via the Apple TV app.​ Plus whenever there’s a live game on, I can just hit the ‘Sunday Ticket Max’ option and watch my favorite team battle it out on the field.​

So, I can’t deny that this is an attractive option.​ After all, what’s more fun than cheering your team on from the comfort of your own home? And I love the fact that I can watch the games in HD quality.​ On the flip side, streaming this way is notorious for buffering issues.​

I then asked myself, ‘Will it work in my location?’ Unfortunately, streaming isn’t available in certain parts of the world.​ It would be a major bummer if NFL Sunday Ticket was unavailable near me.​ To ensure my Sunday Football watching dreams wouldn’t be crushed, I did some diligent research.​

Looking into it, I soon discovered that streaming is only available in the United States and its territories.​ That made me a little steamed at first, but I’m now just relieved I can actually pull this off.​

At this point, I was sifting through the pros and cons of going down the streaming route.​ I’m starting to think that it might be perfect for me – the convenience, the HD quality, and being able to enjoy the wide selection of shows and movies available on the app.​

After some consideration, I concluded that streaming probably was the way to go.​ It’s not ideal that it’ll cost me a lot of money, but the many benefits might well make it worth it.​ I’m so tempted to take the plunge, but I’m just not sure if I’m ready to commit to it just yet.​

I next asked myself ‘Is streaming NFL Sunday Ticket a good option for me in terms of time, value, and convenience?’.​ The convenient factor is definitely attractive and I would love to take advantage of the awesome HD viewing experience.​ But would my pocket be as happy?

So, I’m having real mixed feelings about this.​ On the one hand I’m excited about the potential anticipation of being able to watch the games live from home, but on the other, I’m daunted by costs and the commitment factor.​

That being said, I’m not discounting the idea entirely just yet.​ I’m keen to learn more, like if there is a way to get a discounted NFL Sunday Ticket or what if I voluntarily downgraded the subscription plan.​ There’s a lot to take in and I want to assess the whole situation properly before I finally decide.​
